On Thursday, Netflix released Volume II of"Harry & Meghan," a docuseries about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's romance as well as their experience with the royal family. Volume two, premiering on Dec. 15, is expected to address their rift with the royal family and life in the United States.
Considering Canada will be home for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry for the foreseeable future, it's not too surprising they're reportedly eyeing a six-bedroom, five-bathroom home in the fancy neighborhood of Kitsilano in Vancouver. With a whopping price tag of over $35 million, the four-floor property clocks in at 12,297 square feet and features oceanview terraces, private gardens, and full-lengthpanoramic windows, to name a few perks. "Meghan has expressed an interest in this beautiful house. It would be perfect for her, Harry and little Archie," a real estate agent supposedly told The Sun. "The neighborhood is known a haven for wealthy people and has a very laid-back atmosphere. I'm sure they would be very happy there, and they would be welcomed with open arms." After quitting the royal family,Harry has now returned to Canadato join his wife and his son as they embark on a new life together overseas.
Harry recalled how he traveled to the royal residence Sandringham for a meeting to discuss the couple’s future role in the family. Buckingham Palace reiterated on Thursday that it will not comment on the documentary, and royal engagements are continuing. At the time he was dating Cressida Bonas, an aristocratic actor many royal commentators thought would become his wife.
And although this house might ooze Old World charm, it’s actually not so old. For one, it’s surrounded by mountains, miles of hiking trails, lakes, glaciers, and waterfalls. Vancouver Island is home to whales, harbor seals, and temperate weather that beats the reliable drizzle they’re escaping in England. For a while, it seemed as if the couple might pick a home in sunny California, but the Great White North won out in the end (it’s part of the British Commonwealth, after all). There’s no word yet on whether they plan to purchase this property or simply rent it and try the area out.
